Muldai view point trek is a newly promoted trekking route in Annapurna region. One of the best sunrise points at Annapurna, Muldai view point is a 5 days trekking from Pokhara. Referred as the best alternative to Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, is actually a better mountain view point than Poon Hill itself.Less crowded route in Annapurna, it is a teahouse type trekking. The small local villages, the diverse landscapes, mountain views are the major attractions of the trekking. The Muldai view point trek can be customize or can be extended with Khopra ridge or Khayar Lake Trek.
This trip is also popular as Mulde Hill Trek too. The Mulde peak is at the elevation of 3660 meters above the sea level. The trip to Muldai can be combined with the Poon Hill Trek too. But we are providing the direct trekking to Dobato and Muldai view point only to make the trip shorter. Muldai peak actually offers the better views that Poon Hill itself.
Best Season and Permits
The best season to trek Mulde trek is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Muldai view point trekking is also trek able in the months of winter (December to February) too. And excitingly the trip to Mulde view point is also great in the months of monsoon (June to August) as well. Mulde peak trekking needs to have two permits issued. The permits needed for the Muldai trip are ACAP permit and TIMS card. Both of the permits can be issued either in Kathmandu or in Pokhara at Nepal tourism board office. The permit cost for the trekking is US$ 40 per person total.

Muldai View Point Trek Short Itinerary
- Day 01: Drive to Pokhara (7/8 hours’ drive)
- Day 02: Drive to Kimche (3 hours’ drive), then trek to Tadapani (2660m./4/5 hours’ trek).
- Day 03: Trek to Dobato (3600m./5/6 hours’ trek).
- Day 04: Sunrise at Muldai view point (3660m./ 15 minutes’ hike), then back to Tadapani (3/4 hours’ hike.).
- Day 05: Trek back to Ghandruk (3/4 hours’ trek), then drive back to Pokhara (3 hours’ drive).
- Day 06: Drive back to Kathmandu (7/8 hours’ drive)
