Mount Everest Base Camp Trek 10 days is the shortest Everest base camp trek. The rapid trek to Everest base camp avoids the acclimatization days in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche. The exciting trip to EBC offers to collect the best views of the Himalayas and to explore the super Sherpa villages of the Everest region.

Ten days mount Everest base camp trek starts with a scenic flight to Lukla airport. Lukla airport is considered one of the most adventurous airports in the world. Upon arriving at Lukla, you will meet your trekking guide/porter. Then the journey to EBC starts. On the first day of the Everest base camp trek ten days, you will be trekking from Lukla to Phakding. The trekking time from Lukla to Phakding is 4/5 hours of trekking. Whereas, the distance wise Phakding is 9 kilometres approx. From Lukla. Phakding is a small Sherpa settlement in the lap of the hills.

Similarly, on the second day, the trekking starts after breakfast. The route from Phakding to Namche Bazaar is via pine, oak and rhododendron forest via the Dudh Koshi river bank. The course is primarily uphill and offers the occasional views of mountains. You can say hello to fellow travellers going both ways. Whereas the mules and yaks can be found carrying the stuff to the upper belt of Everest. Distance-wise, Namche Bazaar is about 10 kilometres away from Phakding. Namche Bazaar is the most significant Sherpa settlement on Everest. It is also famous as the Sherpa capital. You can explore the fantastic Sherpa culture at Namche Bazaar. If you are on Saturday at Namche Bazaar, you can also go to the Saturday market.

Everest Base Camp Trek 12 Days Here 

On the third day of the ten-day Mount Everest base camp trek, you will trek to Tengboche. Typically, it takes four to five hours of trekking to get to Tengboche from Namche Bazaar. The route includes superb views of mountains, including Thamserku, Ama Dablam and more. Similarly, the distance between Namche Bazaar to Tengboche is 8 kilometres approx. Tengboche is also famous for the Everest viewpoint, where many trekkers trek to see mount Everest. It also has the biggest Buddhist monastery in the Everest region. Tengboche also offers stunning sunrise and sunset in the Himalayas too.

In the same way, the fourth day of the trekking starts after breakfast. The route from Tengboche to Dingboche is mostly uphill. The distance between Tengboche to Dingboche is about 8 kilometres. This is where you may see Himalayan musk deer and snow leopards. Also, the more excellent views of mountains are along the way to Dingboche. Dingboche is a small Sherpa settlement.

13 Days Everest Base Camp Trek Here

Likewise, the Mount Everest base camp trek continues from Dingboche to Lobuche. The route is primarily uphill into the barren land. The views along the way to Lobuche are stunning. Comparatively, the distance of trekking is lesser this day. The approximate distance between Dingboche to Lobuche is about 7 kilometres. Lobuche is a small settlement with some teahouses. Lobuche also offers stunning sunset views at Mount Ama Dablam.

Finally, the primary day of the EBC trek comes on day six, as you will be trekking to Everest base camp. You will first travel to Gorakshep from Lobuche for two to three hours. Then leave your stuff there and have lunch. Then, you will walk the final section of Gorakshep to Everest base camp with your day pack. After all the hard work, I reach the Everest base camp to create a lifelong memory. Collect the best memories before getting back to Gorakshep.

The next day morning, you will be hiking to Kalapatthar to collect the best views of Mount Everest. Kalapatthar (5545m.) is the highest point you will reach during Everest base camp trekking. After sunrise, you will be trekking back to Pheriche. Following two days, you will travel back to Lukla before taking the scenic flight back to Kathmandu.

Lukla airport

• One of the interesting airports in the world. The flight to Lukla is a wonderful one. Meet your guide/porter and start the trip.

Phakding

• The small village at the lap of the Himalayas. You will stay at a local teahouse.
