Island Peak Trek

Island Peak Trek

Island Peak Trek is a 13 days trip to one of the finest trekking peaks in Nepal. Elevating at 6187 meters above sea level, the fascinating peak is inside the fantastic Imja valley. English Mountaineer Eric Shipton gave the name Island Peak in 1953 as he thought it resembled an island in a sea of ice. Later in 1983, it got its new name IMJA TSE. Island Peak also offers the best views of Lhotse Shar, Makalu, Baruntse and Ama Damblam from the top.

The best times to climb Island are March to May and September to November.
