Everest Namche Bazaar Trek

Everest Namche Bazar Trek

Everest Namche Bazaar Trek is a short trek in Nepal. The 5 days of trekking on Everest are dedicated to exploring the vibrant Sherpa villages and collecting the best views of the mountains. The trip to Namche Bazaar starts with a scenic flight o Lukla airport. The actual trek to Namche starts from Lukla. On the first day, you will trek to Phakding village via several other local villages and the Dudh Koshi river bank. At Phakding, you can enjoy the local food and the superb landscapes.

On the second day of the Namche Bazaar trekking, the route is uphill, primarily via rhododendron and pine forest. The route to Namche includes crossing the famous Hillary bridge and getting the first glimpse of Mount Everest. Along the way, the mules and the yaks can be found carrying enormous loads on their back. Also, the hard-working porters of Everest will come both ways with a load of at least 50 kilograms on their backs. At Namche Bazaar, you can collect the best views of Khongde Himal. And it is the place where world-famous mountaineer- Sherpa lives. Namche Bazaar is also famous as “The Sherpa Capital”. If you are in the village on Saturday, you can also see the Saturday local market.

On the third day of the trek, make a side trip to the Everest viewpoint, Syanboche. It is also the same place as the Everest view hotel and offers 360 views of the mountains. After the hike, you can go and explore the Sherpa capital. On the fourth day, you will be returning to Lukla to catch the returning flight back to Kathmandu the next day.
