The dense forest of rhododendron and bamboo, the flora plus faunas and the inclusion of Poon Hill– the best sunrise view point in the Himalayas makes Annapurna trek unique one.

The Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif with the best views of Macchapuchre and Hiunchuli propels the trekking so nicely. The natural hot spring of Jhinu Danda; is another pick of this trekking route. The best time to trek in Annapurna base camp are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).

It is not much recommended to trek Annapurna Base Camp in the months of January and early February with some high risk avalanches areas. The trek can be arranged in monsoon time (June to July) though. Day 1
Drive to Pokhara. (6/7 hours’ drive by tourist bus.)

Attraction(s)

Pokhara:

• The city of lakes, Pokhara is one of the most visited places in the country. The city also offers the greater views of mountains.

Phewa Lake

• Go around the lake and collect a greater view of the sunset in the evening.

Day 2
Drive to Nayapul (2 hours’ drive) and trek to Ulleri (4/5 hours trekking).

Attraction(s)

Nayapul

• This is the place where the permits check is done.

Tikhedhunga

• In the route, there is a small settlement, where some fellow travelers stay overnight.

Ulleri

• The stop for the day. The glimpse of Annapurna south looks greater from here.

Day 3
Trek to Ghorepani (4/5 hours trek).

Attraction(s)

• Rhododendron forest

• Walkthrough the rhododendron forest. The blooming forest looks greater in the months of March, April.

Ghorepani

• The night stop point. The place also offers greater views of the Annapurna range.

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 4
Hike to Poon Hill (1-hour hike), then trek to Chuile (5/6 hours trek).

Poon Hill

• One of the best mountains and sunrise viewpoints.

Tadapani

• A small settlement along the way.

Chuile

• The night stop for the day. You can a wonderful waterfall in front.

Day 5
Trek to Lower Sinuwa. (5/6 hours trekking).

Waterfalls and occasional mountain views

• A small settlement along the way.

Lower Sinuwa

• The night stays a place of the day.

Day 6
Trek to Himalaya. (5/6 hours trekking).

Waterfalls and mountain views

Day 7
Trek to Annapurna Base Camp. (5/7 hours trekking).

Machhapuchre Base Camp aka Fishtail Base Camp

• You will pass Fishtail Base Camp along the way.

Annapurna Base Camp

• The night stay place in the lap of the Himalayas. The place offers 360 views of mountains.

Day 8
Trek back to Bamboo (5/6 hours trek).

Day 11
Drive back to Kathmandu. (6/7 hours trekking).
