Everest marathon 2020 update. The marathon date has been changed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The marathon was originally set for May 29th 2020 but now the CORONA virus has forced Everest marathon 2020 changes. The new proposed date for Everest marathon 2020 is September 24, 2020, the auspicious day, celebrating the first British ascent of Mount Everest under the leadership of Sir Chris Bonington, which successfully climbed South West Face of Mount Everest for the first time on 24th September 1975, by Doug Scott & Dougal Haston.

Dear, Everest Marathon 2020 Runners,
You guys have been sending us emails with concern that the Corona (Covid-19) may not improve at all in either side of our countries. In this respect, we would like to inform you that we are working on rescheduling our marathon for September 24, 2020, the auspicious day, celebrating the first British ascent of Mount Everest under the leadership of Sir Chris Bonington, which successfully climbed South West Face of Mount Everest for the first time on 24th September 1975, by Doug Scott & Dougal Haston, in the same manner, we were celebrating Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay’s first climb of Mount Everest via South East Ridge on May 29 back in 1953.
We will send you further information from time to time.
Still, we are not sure how long this COVID-19 may stay. If everything goes on the right path then Everest marathon 2020 is now going to be held of 24th September 2020.
We will be updating you if there are further changes of Everest marathon 2020 in the meantime. Please stay connected with The Himalayan Journeys.
